Grand Concert shape model made in 2000 with rosewood side and back!

The body shape is "Grand Concert" shape as indicated by the end of the three-digit number. This body shape is a little smaller than the "Grand Auditorium" body shape, as indicated by the "4" in Taylor's popular "314ce" and other models. The body is made of rosewood on the sides and back, and mahogany on the neck. The fingerboard and bridge are ebony. The nut width is about 45mm, and the scale is about 648mm. The preamp is a B-band with the EQ and Vol cut off, so it does not have any controls, but it still functions as a preamp.

There are scratches, dings, cracks, and peeling paint on the body. The pickguard has picking scratches throughout. There is a pea-sized ding on the lower right side of the body top. There are numerous large and small dents scattered around the sound hole, giving the impression of use. There is a crack at the top of the sound hole, just at the end of the neck, and from the bottom of the bridge to the end of the neck. The cracks are currently reinforced with glue. There are dents and peeling paint around the outer edges of the top and back of the body, mainly on the lower part of the body. There is a ding on the lower right side of the body with paint peeling off. The lower outer edge of the body back has small and large dents with clear floating in some places. There are fingernail marks all over the center of the back of the neck. There are some small dents and scratches around the head, and there is some clear floating on the head top by the nut.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen. There are no string marks on the frets and about 70% of the strings are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.5mm on the 6th string (12F) and about 2.0mm on the 1st string (12F).

Overall, there are signs of use commensurate with the age of the instrument. Also, there is some clear floatation, which is common with Taylor guitars. Although it is not in the cleanest condition, playability is good, including the neck angle. The sound of this model is small, but has a refined and cohesive sound. The solid rosewood sides and back were the top model at the time! The nut width and other features make this a good choice for fingerpicking players, and the small size makes it a good choice for women as well!
