Rare Faded Ocean Turquoise 59ST made by Custom Shop in 2016!

This is a first year 59 with rosewood fretboard, with a Custom Shop style vintage tone, but with a twist.
The body is 2pcs Alder center, selected carefully for its firm tone output. The neck is made of figured maple with a rift-sawn finish, giving it a Custom Shop look and feel. The neck shape is "59 Esquier C", which is high-positive and slightly thicker. The neck shape has a thin layer of clear peeled off on the back of the neck for both cool aging and playability when sweating. The frets are a medium jumbo size, and combined with the 9.5" R of the fingerboard surface, it provides a modern playing feel.
The PU is an original hand-wound "Ancho Poblano". Alnico 3 magnet and form bar wire are used for the neck and middle position, and Alnico 5 magnet and enamel wire are used for the bridge position with flat polepiece. The DC resistance is approximately 5.9k, 6.2k, and 6.1k from the neck side, resulting in a fat sound in the neck and middle positions and a sharp and powerful sound in the bridge position. Controls are master Vol and master Tone specifications. Its tone is Greasebucket spec. The last control is a mix control for the neck PU and bridge PU.

The body has a Journeyman's Relic, but there are some dents, scratches, line scratches, and paint peeling from use. There is a 1.5cm line scratch on the side of the 6th string of the front PU. There is also an arc-shaped scratch from the side of the jack plate to the end of the body, where the tip of the arm has been jostled against the end of the body. There are some bean-sized dents in the body back contour, and there are many small and large dents around the perimeter of the body, mainly at the end of the body. There are also some small paint peeling in places, probably due to use. Small dents around the head also appear to be due to use. All of them have the impression of a more advanced relic combined with the original Journeyman's Relic. There are no noticeable signs of use, although each hardware has the effects of the relic. The back panel is missing.

The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen. There are no string marks on the frets and about 80% of the frets are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

Overall, there are some signs of use, but it feels natural and less uncomfortable. The fret area and controls are vintage-style at a glance while incorporating ideas typical of the Custom Shop. The sound has a solid sound image typical of this grade, and while producing sharpness and fluidity, it also offers a variety of sounds not found in regular STs, and is sure to be the envy of many players when they play it!
