USED YAMAHA / AES-1500 Peal Snow White [10]

Made in Japan in the 90's, this hollowbody model was developed for use in rock!

The body size is approximately 17 inches, slightly larger than a 335. The body thickness is about 5.5cm near the jack, about 0.5cm thicker than the 335. The body is maple, and there is a maple/spruce center block with a corresponding size (large tofu) under the bridge and tailpiece. The image is between semi-acoustic and full-acoustic, and can be said to be either. The neck is maple with a scale of 648mm, the fingerboard surface is rosewood, and medium jumbo frets are 22F spec. The fretboard surface R is 350R, which is slightly flatter than that of the 335, and the PU is an original DiMaggio YGDH-4BC. The familiar bi-sound switch allows you to coil-tap each PU by pushing each tone knob. This USA-designed model is designed with Gretsch in mind and offers anti-howling and sustain despite its hollowbody.

The body has wipe scratches, scuffs, line scratches, and dents. The pickguard has been removed and is missing. There are large and small dents all over the top of the body, but they are not so noticeable due to the coloring of the body. The lower left edge of the body top has a toe-shaped dent and a rice grain-sized piece of clear peeled off. There is a toe-shaped ding on the left neck of the body side, and there are dings, scratches, and line scratches mainly on the lower part of the body side. There is a postage stamp-sized sticker mark on the upper right side of the body back, and a large, clear sticker mark in the center of the body back and its lower right side. There is a buckle scratch on the right side of the back of the body, and there are large and small dents, scratches, and line scratches all around the perimeter of the body. There is a paint gap at the low position of the neck binding on the 6th string side and a paint crack at the 10th floor. The first string side has some deterioration and clear/peeling paint due to use, and the second string side has a scratch from being hit. There are small and large dents on the back of the nut and the first floor of the back of the neck, but they do not significantly affect the playing. There is a mark on the upper right side of the head top where the paint seems to have melted, possibly due to the gluing of the binding. There is a small ding on the top of the head by the 3rd string peg post, and there is also a line scratch made by the tip of a string. Both screws for the rear PU mount have been replaced with black ones. All hardware is gold, so there is some chipping, chipping, and signs of use, but there are no problems with operation.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen. There are no string marks on the frets and about 70% of the strings are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

Overall, there are some signs of use such as a missing pick guard, sticker marks, dents, etc., but the neck area is still usable without any problems! This hollowbody model is made in Japan with Gretsch in mind and further arranged for use in the field!
