1980 Solid Body 335-S with Ebony Fingerboard and Dirty Fingers!

Solid body 335-S without F-holes was manufactured from 1980 to 1983. 335-S is available in various models such as Professional, Custom, Standard, etc. Mahogany neck & body (Standard has maple neck & body), ebony fingerboard & coil tap switch (Standard only), Dirty Fingers & TP-83. (Standard has a maple neck and body), ebony fingerboard, coil tap switch (Professional only), dirty fingers, and TP-6.
The pegs have been replaced with Gotoh locking type, and the nut and frets have been replaced. The front Vol pot date is 79, the front Tone pot is 80, and the rear Vol and Tone pots are soldered and not visible, but we have determined that they are original as they do not differ from the front ones. The rear Tone pot has a solder repair mark.

The body has wipe scratches, scuffs, line scratches, and dents. There are picking scratches with a fine feel throughout the pickguard. There is a pea-sized ding on the lower left side of the body top, although not deep, and a rice-sized ding on the left side of the bridge. There are also other small dents all over the body top. There are some dents, scratches, and line scratches around the body side jacks, and other dents and scratches mainly on the lower part of the sides. There are some small scratches around the strap pins on the upper part of the body back, and there are some paint reaction marks and line scratches. There are scratches in the center of the body back, as well as large and small dents and peeling paint around the lower outer edge of the body. There are scratches all over the back of the neck, and the center of the neck is dotted with faint dents. The tip of the head is dotted with dings, and the paint is peeling at both tips. There is a small scratch on the lower right side of the head top. All hardware is commensurate with the age of the instrument, with some deterioration of the plating and signs of use.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned to tighten and adjust. There are no string marks on the frets and about 80% of the strings are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

Overall, the guitar is in good condition for its age, although there are some signs of use. There is a fret & nut replacement, but the player will be happy! It is equipped with the original zebra dirty fingers, which is a surprisingly rare specification and also a point of interest. The coil-tap sound is quite thin, and to be honest, it is not the most user-friendly, but please use it well! This is the original top grade with maho body & neck and ebony fingerboard!
