A rare and rare 00-size cutaway & slotted instrument made in 1999!

The 00 size DB (Deep Body) series was developed based on the concept of "for women". With input from Joni Mitchell, Sheryl Crow, and others, the guitars were designed by women for women, and at the time, part of the proceeds were donated to a breast cancer awareness project. However, its sharp specs are quite common!

The body top is made of spruce, and the bracing is scalloped X-bracing. The sides and back are made of mahogany. Scale is 645mm, 14F joint fingerboard surface is ebony, and nut width is about 43mm. The head is slotted head specification, which not only has a solid tension feeling but also realizes a unique look with the sunburst finish. The head logo is also vintage style and cool! This one has an L.R. Baggs Anthem retrofitted, so it's ready to go!

The body has wipe scratches, scuffs, line scratches, and dings. The pickguard and surrounding area is cloudy and has overall picking scratches. There are wipe scratches throughout the body. There is a sesame-sized ding on the right side of the pickguard and a toe-shaped scratch on the lower right edge of the body top. There are also some small dents and scratches on the binding around the pickguard. The lower part of the body top is dotted with small dents, and there is a line scratch on the lower left part of the body top. The sides of the body are dotted with small scratches and dings, mainly on the lower part of the body. The binding around the jack on the end of the body has some paint gaps due to age. There are buckle scratches mainly in the center of the lower part of the body back, and scratches and dents, though not deep, throughout the body. There is also a ding on the lower right side of the body back that is the size of a grain of rice. The back of the neck is generally shiny from use and is dotted with small scratches. The slotted head has a few scratches where the tips of the strings have hit it. There is also a scratch on the lower left side of the head that looks like it was hit by the edge of a stand.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned to tighten and adjust. There are no string marks on the frets and about 60-70% of the strings are left. The current string height is about 2.5mm on the 6th string (12F) and about 2.0mm on the 1st string (12F). The saddle height is low, but there is still room to lower it a little.

Overall, the coloring of the instrument has a solid feel to it, but there is no unnatural damage, and the condition is commensurate with its age and normal use. Although it was designed for women, its masculine looks and specifications, which are not often seen, are irresistible! The small body is easy to handle on stage, and the output from the anthem is so rich in tone that you won't feel its small size. This is one I recommend!
