USED Fender / Telecaster Natural Mpale 1982 [10]

Made in 1982, the last period of the original Telecaster!

We have determined it to be early '82 by serial number, neck date, PU date, Pot date, etc. The body is heavy ash, as is typical for this age.
There is a '82 date on the neck end, and although there is none on the body, it is determined to be original due to the routing of each cavity. Each pot is dated '81, the rear PU is original and made in '82, and the front PU is not dated, but the single-core shielded mesh wire is the same as the rear PU and is original. The solder from the plate on the back of the rear PU to the PU has been repaired, and some of the mounting springs have been replaced. The aluminum tape on the back of the pickguard has been reapplied.

There are scratches and dents on the body. The pickguard has some minor picking scratches. There are some light marks around the bridge where a bridge cover was attached. There are minor scratches and dents on the body top, sides, and back. There is a bulge on the bottom of the body back joint plate that is not a pea-sized dent, but it is from the time of shipping, as the paint is fine. The top edge of the joint plate has a darkened paint reaction. There is a paint gap at the tip of the skunk stripe on the back of the neck. The first string peg is a little distorted, but works fine. The first string ball end bushing has been replaced. Other hardware is in relatively good condition for its age, with no noticeable signs of use.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen. There are no string marks on the frets and about 60% of the frets are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

Overall, the guitar is in good condition with little signs of use. There is no paint peeling around the neck, which is common and stressful, and there is no noticeable damage around the body, which gives a good impression. The weight is 4.4 kg, which is much heavier than a Les Paul, but strangely enough, it does not bother me so much. If you are young, you will be fine! The heavy ash produces a pleasantly pleasant edge and clean lows. The 3-ply pickguard is a traditional style that matches the natural finish, and it's just plain cool! It is also a perfect birthday present for those born in 1982!
