USED Orville by Gibson / LPS-FM Les Paul Standard Flame Maple Top Vintage Sunburst 1991 [10]

Realistic flamed top bi-gib in stock, made in 1991!

We have determined from the serial number that it was made in 1991 by Terada Gakki. The maple top is a proper real flame maple specification. The laminate is "LPS-T", but this one is made of thick flame maple. When you check the rear PU cavity from the side, you can see that it is connected to the top wood, and there is no sign of any adhesive! The pickguard has no marks on it, which is the best proof that it is an "LPS-FM". The neck is not deep-jointed, as one would expect.

The PU is usually a Gibson, but this one has been replaced with a "Mojotone". There is no model name on the back, but the DC resistance is about 7.8k on the front side and 8.2k on the bridge, which is approximately vintage tone. It has a clean impression. The capacitor has been replaced with "K40n-2a 0.022uF 400V". Both escutcheons have also been replaced. The pegs have been replaced with Gotoh locking pegs, and the nut and front Vol knob have also been replaced.

There are scratches, scuffs, line scratches, dents, and peeling paint on the body. There are scratches, lines, and small dings around the body top selector, and there are scratches and scratches on the cutaway area. The lower left edge of the body top has some clear peeling due to use, and there is a pea-sized ding and accompanying paint peeling on the side of the ding. There are also scratches and small and large dents scattered around the control knobs. There is an L-shaped ding on the side of the body jack, and the lower left side of the body has some dings and peeling paint. There is also paint peeling around the body end pin, and a large ding on the side of the body end pin. The lower right portion of the body back has a burly buckle scratch, and the lower left edge of the body back has some paint peeling with small wood loss. There is a rice grain sized ding on the right neckline of the body back. There is a rice-sized ding on the back of the neck at the center of the 7th floor. The paint is peeling around the 3rd string peg on the back of the head, and there are traces of glue that may have been used to repair it. The top of the head has lost some of its paint due to aging, and it is wrinkled vertically. There are also scratches, scuffs, and line scratches. There is clear peeling on the side of the neck on the 3rd and 6th strings. Each hardware has some scuffs and deterioration, but they are commensurate with the age of the instrument.

The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen. There are no string marks on the frets and about 80% of the strings are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 6th string (12F) and about 1.5mm on the 1st string (12F).

The PU has been replaced, but you can replace it with your favorite one and enjoy. The sound is also surprisingly good, which we, who usually deal with USA-made guitars, agree with. The proof of its popularity can be found here!
