The original cherry color was a more subdued red cherry color compared to the aniline die, but has faded over time to a more subdued look that is more like walnut or natural color. If you remove the escutcheon and the back panel, you can see the remnants of the original cherry color.
The body and neck are made of mahogany, and the fingerboard is rosewood. The neck joint is different from the regular line, and features a Burstbucker 1 & 2 PU. The tightness of the bridge with stop tailpiece that catches the string vibrations and the sustain produced by the tightness is useful in a wide range of genres!

There are scratches, scuffs, line scratches, and dents all over the body. There is a light crack on the neck binding and weather checks on the paint around the crack. The overall finish has a cloudy look due to the basic VOS specification, but there are some shiny patches due to use, but they do not ruin the overall atmosphere. Also, each hardware is finished with a good atmosphere with the effects of VOS specification and rust and chrome corrosion over time. The metal plate on the rear tone knob is missing, but there is no problem with its operation.

The neck is in generally good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the tightening and loosening direction, and can still be turned to the tightening direction. The frets are about 80% full with no noticeable string marks. The current string height is about 2.0mm on the 6th string at the 12th fret, and about 1.5mm on the 1st string.

The color is not an aniline-dyed cherry color, which was used before the model change in 2013, but the restrained cherry color makes it look cool and moist. Compared to the Maestro Vibrato equipped model, it is tighter and bassy, and has a good sustain. If you choose for sound rather than looks, we definitely recommend the stop tailpiece version! Even though it is an older version, it is still the Custom Shop model you have been longing for! This is a popular model, so be sure to get it as soon as possible!
