Country & Western, made in 1959, with dignity for a reason

Country & Western" was born in '55 as a natural finish model of Southern Jumbo, featuring crown inlay on the head, double parallelogram fingerboard inlay, and multiple binding on the top and back. In 1962, it was changed to square shoulder.

The serial number indicates that it was made in 1959. Nut and frets have been replaced. There is a crack between the fingerboard and the pickguard at the upper right of the soundhole, which has been treated by applying an anti-cracking tape. The wood around the soundhole is showing due to heavy picking, and there is a dent on the bottom of the pickguard where a finger may have been placed there. The pickguard has shrunk and there are traces of its original size. There is also a stick-shaped repair mark about 8 cm long on the upper right side of the pickguard. There are no traces on the back side, so it is assumed that only the surface layer peeled off and was repaired there. The repair marks have been over-lacquered with clear paint. There is a straight crack repair on the heel of the neck, and there is a large amount of glue protruding from both sides of the neck joint to fill the gap created when the crack was formed. There are finger marks in the low position.

The neck is in good condition. The truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned to tighten and adjust. The frets are about 70% full with no noticeable string marks. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.5mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 2.0mm on the 1st string side, and the saddle height is not so high that there is no range of adjustment here.

Overall, there are some signs of heavy use and repairs to the neck heel, but playability is still intact. The heavy use may be evidence that the player liked the sound of the instrument. Its sound comes out fast and has decent lows! It is not in collectible condition, but on the other hand, it is one that can be played without hesitation!
