USED Gibson / Dove Antique Cherry & Natural Top 1995 [10]

DOVE, manufactured in 1995 at the Gibson Montana Factory, is now in stock.

The "dove" pattern on the pickguard, which is a symbolic shape of the square shoulder period, gives a strong impression of the model name "Dove". The thick pickguard and the cherry-colored sides and back, despite the natural top, give the guitar a unique presence. The Gibson Dove has a maple 3P neck and body side & back made of solid curly maple, and the scale detail is about 642mm-643mm/25.3inch (actual measurement of this individual), which makes it different from the company's J-45 and M company's dreadnought. The unique sound may be impressive.

Appearance Condition
There are some thinning of the paint film and cracks in the topcoat in certain areas due to the 30 years of aging, but we hope you will consider them as art in the process of aging (evolving) into a Gibson-like appearance like an old & vintage guitar.
The veneer on the headstock surface has vertical cracks in the paint film. This may be the time when the veneer material was used with resin board as in the 70s and 80s.
There is a clear line of paint loss on the neck grip and heel area and the maple joint on the back of the headstock, but it may be a process of lacquer coating penetrating into the wood.
There are short cracks randomly appearing in the paint film in certain areas of the body top and back, but not yet in the body sides and back. Also, there are no strange gaps or peeling around the body binding.
There are a few scratches and scuffs throughout the entire area and some play marks on the fingerboard, but there is no damage that would impair the functionality of the instrument. There are no extreme buckle or rivet marks, so considering the age of the instrument, it is likely that it has not been actively and seriously played very often.
Also, the G company type strap button has been added to the heel of the neck in a Gibson-like direction, so although there are some paint color and touch-up marks in the vicinity, you can feel the convenience of immediate use. (The truss rod cover has been replaced with a Gibson parts blank type.)

Overall Condition
The solid Sitka spruce that is the body top material of this unit may give an excellent impression of tone output because of its elegant and beautiful well-rounded wood grain.
So, although it is not like new in appearance due to its age, it may be a dav that simply has a graceful playing feel and sound.

Neck condition is currently fine.
There is plenty of truss rod to spare.
About 70% to 60% frets remaining
