A special Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue has arrived.
This 1959 STD Reissue was crafted from hand-selected materials to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the 1959 Les Paul Standard in 2019.
Furthermore, it belongs to the Tom Murphy Aged Les Paul category, where master luthier Tom Murphy personally performs the aging process, making this instrument the pinnacle of the 60th Anniversary 1959 LP Reissue series.
The hand-selected booklet includes the date of material selection (June 2019) and specifies the finish color as Royal Tea Burst.
The date on the pre-pack checklist is August 29, 2019.
Regarding the history of its condition, since this is a TM Aged Spec model, it is difficult to determine the extent of its use, so our assessment is based on estimation.

Regarding the condition, there were signs of wear on the low-position frets from playing with low chords, but this has been addressed with minimal fret leveling.
Additionally, the metal parts feature a VOS-style finish, so the wear is not excessive; rather, it primarily consists of corrosion that expresses a patina and the early signs of aging.
Furthermore, there are no unnatural marks on the control components, so it appears to be in full original condition, including the pickups, with no soldering.
Regarding the overall condition, as this is a recent model that has reached its seventh year, it retains a clean appearance with no signs of heavy use, considering its age.
