A 2000 J-50 Antique Natural (Antique Natural color) has arrived.
Having reached its 26th year, this guitar exudes a sense of dignity, yet it remains beautifully clean. With noticeable dents and scratches, traces of buckles and rivets, and paint cracks scattered throughout, it may have the cool, rugged look of a vintage guitar in excellent player’s condition. The paint cracks, in particular, are typical early-stage signs and are scattered across the entire body, but they are not deep or severe—instead, they give the guitar a gentle, elegant appearance.There are traces of picking damage around the soundhole and near the end of the fingerboard, but these lend a natural, authentic feel. While the texture might be mistaken for an aged finish, the true nature of these marks is unclear. However, its appearance transcends any artificial aging, and one cannot help but feel that this instrument has truly matured through the natural passage of time.
The neck’s thickness and width do not suggest any special specifications, making this an all-around instrument with a grip feel that appeals to everyone.

Upgrade work performed by Pro Repair
・Nut: Vintage bone nut (unbleached cow bone)
・Saddle: A saddle that was custom-made and replaced with octave correction. It has a beautifully shaped finish and a tight fit, so it won’t come off easily; the material is unconfirmed.
・Bridge: Early signs of minor bridge delamination have been repaired through professional restoration work; however, there is paint peeling around the edges, typical of vintage guitars.
・Pickguard: Replaced with a thick, flexible material. Upon arrival, it had significant peeling due to warping, but it has been reattached. If the issue recurs, we recommend replacing it with an acrylic or PVC pickguard.
・Strap buttons: A genuine Gibson aluminum strap button has been added to the neck heel.
・Body Back Bracing: There were scattered instances of delamination across nearly all of the bracing, but it has been beautifully re-glued as part of the Pro Repair work.
・Truss rod cover: The fit has been corrected.

Transducer-Under-Saddle Pickup Specifications
・It is equipped with a Fishman Acoustic Matrix Natural I, which is believed to be the original specification from the time of the guitar’s release. Since this is a straightforward 9V preamp with no controls mounted on the guitar itself, players who use a floor-based acoustic guitar preamp or volume pedal may find it easy to use and convenient.
