A 1994 Martin D-28 with a narrower nut width—currently in high demand—has arrived!

We have received a 1994 Martin D-28 Standard from the "Good Wood Era."
Martin guitars manufactured at the Nazareth factory in the mid-1990s—a period corresponding to Gibson USA’s “Good Wood Era”—were crafted from an abundance of high-quality wood materials, such as Indian rosewood, striped ebony, and Sitka spruce. These instruments represent a period that has seen a resurgence in appreciation in recent years.
Standard models produced prior to the minor redesign around 2017 feature a nut width of 42.86 mm (1 11/16").
Compared to the nut width of current models, this is narrower and offers a playing feel similar to that of well-known Japanese acoustic guitar brands, making it a great choice for players purchasing a U.S.-made Martin guitar for the first time.
You’ll be able to play chords with a feel comparable to that of a typical Japanese-made folk guitar.

Overall Condition
・Due to the nature of a used instrument that has been played for 32 years, the exterior is not in pristine condition. There is some dirt that cannot be removed through normal cleaning and maintenance, so please refrain from purchasing this item if you are looking for something in like-new condition.
・Any defects have been repaired, so they do not interfere with normal playing.
・Multiple types of damage—including various scratches, paint chipping, paint cracks, paint peeling, and worn decorative binding—are present throughout the body; however, no damage significantly affecting the wood has been identified. Furthermore, given that this is a USA-made lacquer-finished instrument from a world-renowned brand, please consider all signs of wear—including play and handling marks—as part of its natural aging process.

There is a strong odor (similar to household odors or dust) on the interior and exterior of both the instrument and the included case. We do not recommend this item for customers with allergies or sensitive constitutions.
