USED Fender Japan / ST57 2-Tone Sunburst 1987 [10]

A used Fender Japan ST57 from the E-serial era has arrived!
While this particular guitar lacks any markings that would clearly identify it as an ST57-85 or ST57-115, it features “STS-57” stamped on the neck and body, and an “S” stamped in the neck pocket. Equipped with US-made pickups and likely featuring a lacquer top finish, it appears to be a high-end model even among the ST57s of that era.
Since its arrival, the tone control wiring has been modified to route to the front + center and rear pickups. Overall, it shows significant signs of wear, including scuffs, dents, and paint reaction. The body has marks from the case lining and softened paint, while the area around the neck has scattered instances of paint discoloration and chipping. Although the hardware shows signs of deterioration such as tarnish and rust, there are currently no functional issues.
