A recent MBS1959ST, crafted with great care by Paul Weller, has arrived!

A creation by Paul Weller, Senior Master Builder at the Fender Custom Shop, has arrived.
Since joining Fender in 2003, Mr. Weller has steadily advanced his career as a builder, rising to the rank of Master Builder through his apprenticeship under Bob Benedetto and his work as a Master Builder apprentice. He has now reached the pinnacle of his craft as a Senior Master Builder and reigns as the Custom Shop’s undisputed flagship builder.
We’ve just received this 2021 Masterbuilt 1959 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic, a masterpiece crafted by none other than Mr. Paul Weller himself.
The 8-point-mounted green guard, reminiscent of early 1959 ST models, makes a great impression, and the thoughtful touch of aligning the hole positions to match the 8-hole, 1-piece PG is simply irresistible!

Overall Condition
・Given that this is a “Builder’s Sense” relic in the Journeyman Relic category, we have rated its condition as B+.
・There are no issues with the soldering on the pickups or controls. A visual inspection of the underside of the pickguard may leave you in awe of the quality of the wiring work.
・Upon arrival, the fret condition showed no sharp wear marks, only minor scuffs scattered across the lower fret area; these have been addressed with minimal filing and shaping.
