The 2025 Gibson Custom 1963 Les Paul SG Custom Reissue VOS Classic White has arrived.
This Historic Reissue recreates the 1963-spec SG Custom—the last year the “Les Paul” name was used and the first year the Long Maestro Vibrola was adopted. It features the lavish design elements characteristic of a top-of-the-line model, including split diamond inlays, multi-ply binding, and three pickups.
It combines a mahogany body with a mahogany neck and an ebony fingerboard; the neck features a long tenon and hide glue construction. The 60s SlimTaper profile and a 12-inch radius fingerboard ensure smooth playability.
It is equipped with three Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups. The control layout features two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way selector switch, offering the traditional configuration of front pickup only, center + rear, and rear pickup only. Centered on the quick response and rich midrange characteristic of the SG, you can also enjoy the clear definition unique to the ebony fingerboard and the distinctive mixed sound produced by the center and rear pickups.
Equipped with an ABR-1 bridge and a long Maestro vibrato, this guitar offers the unique charm of adding a gentle tremolo effect to chords and single notes.
