The YAMAHA BB has been remodeled for the first time in seven years to mark the 40th anniversary of the series. The design has been reviewed and refined into a modern design that retains the atmosphere typical of the "BB series. The slimmer shape of the body and other parts has also improved playability. The 3-ply body and miter bolting neck joint have been newly adopted to thoroughly improve the body sound. In addition to improved efficiency of string vibration and body vibration, durability has also been improved, resulting in a slim yet tough sounding bass. In addition, the newly developed pickups have been installed to achieve a clearer sound with more presence, while maintaining the powerful, thick bass sound that is the hallmark of the "BB Series". This model is equipped with an active circuit that can also be switched to passive.
シリーズ発売40周年を迎えることを機に7年ぶりにモデルチェンジしたYAMAHA BBが登場致しました。デザインの見直しを行い、「BBシリーズ」らしい雰囲気を残しながらも洗練された現代的なデザインに仕上げました。ボディなどの形状をスリムにしたことで、演奏性も向上しています。また3プライ(3層)構造のボディとマイター・ボルティング方式のネックジョイントを新たに採用し、ボディ鳴りの向上を徹底的に追求しました。弦振動やボディ振動の効率の向上に加えて耐久性も向上し、スリムながらよく鳴るタフなベースとなっています。さらに新開発のピックアップを搭載し、「BBシリーズ」の特長である迫力のある太い低音はそのままに、より存在感のあるクリアなサウンドを実現しました。こちらはパッシブにも切り替え可能なアクティブサーキットを搭載したモデルです。
