The new BB series has a 3-ply alder/maple/alder body construction. The hard maple sandwiched between the alder on both sides enriches the mid-range and makes the body sound more integrated into the band's sound. The use of maple for the body material also enables direct sound transmission with the maple neck, reducing sound loss between the body and neck and ensuring that the strings receive the vibrations.
