Matteo Mancuso has been a devoted user of REVSTAR since the early days of his career, and today, using a custom model crafted by Yamaha’s Custom Shop in the U.S., he continues to showcase the appeal of the YAMAHA REVSTAR alongside his one-of-a-kind musicality.
Developed in collaboration with Matteo Mancuso, the “RS20MM” faithfully reproduces the appearance, playability, and response of his beloved instrument.

1. Rich sustain and response that fully bring out the player’s expression
The “RS20MM” faithfully translates the player’s touch into sound, from delicate fingerpicking to powerful attacks. At its core is the “DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary” pickup, redesigned based on a vintage humbucker. By minimizing magnetic interference with the strings, it achieves rich sustain and excellent response, allowing the player’s nuances to be expressed in full.Additionally, the use of locking tuners ensures high tuning stability and reliability.

2. Sound Variations to Suit a Wide Range of Musical Expressions
The tone knob features Yamaha’s proprietary Focus Switch, which allows you to switch between different sound characters. Turning the switch on suppresses the high frequencies while emphasizing the mid and low frequencies, resulting in a more powerful and presence-filled tone. Furthermore, when combined with the 5-position selector switch, it enables a wide variety of sound shaping options.In positions 2 and 4, a proprietary circuit adds a slight phase difference to the sound output from the two pickups, creating a distinctive “half-tone” sound without sacrificing volume.

3. Body and Neck Design for Comfortable Playability and Rich Tone
Yamaha’s proprietary acoustic analysis process, “Acoustic Design,” optimizes vibration characteristics. Based on this design, the body features chambered construction that achieves both a rich tone and reduced weight. Furthermore, carbon reinforcement enhances the neck’s strength and stability, resulting in excellent balance and a rich resonance.

4. Special Design Inspired by Matteo’s Custom REVSTAR
The “RS20MM” features a special design that carries on the legacy of the custom REVSTAR that Matteo has cherished for many years. The combination of a vintage sunburst flame maple top and gold hardware creates an elegant and striking appearance.Furthermore, Matteo’s signature is featured on the truss rod cover, and his exclusive logo adorns the 12th fret, highlighting its identity as a signature model.
