An early model of the 7-string RG from the J.Custom era, produced exclusively in 2005, that pushed the limits of performance.

The combination of a mahogany body and a flamed maple top achieves a high-level balance between the rich low end required for a 7-string and a clear, punchy attack that never gets lost in the mix. Its appeal lies in its ability to maintain a full, rich tone while retaining clear definition, ensuring it cuts through the band’s ensemble.

The neck features a 5-piece maple/wenge construction. With excellent rigidity and stability, it reliably handles even the most technical playing. The rosewood fingerboard with abalone dots offers a relatively simple look; its solid, no-nonsense appearance—distinct from the more ornate specifications seen in later J.Custom models—is another defining characteristic of this model.

The pickups have been replaced; the bridge position features a Seymour Duncan humbucker. The neck pickup showed signs of broken wires and has been replaced with a DiMarzio Air Norton 7, matching the original specifications.

The bridge features an Edge Pro 7. It combines smooth whammy bar action with excellent tuning stability, offering high reliability even for players accustomed to Floyd Rose-style systems.

The controls are simple: 1 volume, 1 tone, and a 5-way selector. This configuration ensures a wide range of sound variations while remaining intuitive to use during live performances and recording sessions.
The tremolo arm is missing. It has been replaced with locking tuners. The locking parts are missing.
The body has overall scratches and dents, and the back of the body has severe buckle marks.
There are multiple areas of paint chipping along the back edge of the body.
Additionally, there are scratches, dents, and metal rust throughout, showing signs of use.
