1961 ES-335 Ultra Light Aged, supervised by Tom Murphy for the ultimate vintage replica.
Constructed with a 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body, mahogany neck and Indian rosewood fingerboard.
Special blend of lacquer developed for this series by Mr. Murphy is used. The ultra-thin lacquer has a vintage-like feel, and the physically reproduced weather checks and deterioration due to aging, as well as the meticulous attention to detail of the wood parts, give the sound the appearance of having been around for a long time.
This model thoroughly recreates the '61 specifications, including the horn cutaway called "Mickey Mouse ears," short pickguard, 2-cob Cruson Deluxe pegs, early spec dot position marks, and slim neck from the early '60s.
This is a wonderfully finished instrument that sounds as good as it looks, with no compromises in sound.
The guitar has been aged, so there are no new scratches or signs of use, but there are no noticeable dents, and it is in relatively clean condition.
The neck is nearly straight and in good playing condition.
