Tom Murphy, the longtime head of aging for the company, has been working in his own eponymous lab at the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tenn.
The Murphy Lab is located in Nashville, Tennessee, and his team ages guitars in a newly established lab named after him, using the latest technology based on scientific verification.
The guitar in stock is a 1964 style SG made in 2025.
It features quality wood, carefully selected parts, and the company's ultimate PAF clone, the Custombucker Alnico. The capacitor is by Black Beauty.

Ultra Light Aged finish is used.
Comes with genuine hard case, certification, Pre-Pack Checklist with dates (6/16/25), and papers.
The condition of the instrument is such that you can enjoy the unique texture of the ultra light-aged finish.
There is no major damage from normal use, and there are no abnormalities in the neck. It is in good playing condition and can be used immediately.
