Fender USA presents the “Brent Mason Telecaster,” a signature model based on session guitarist Brent Mason’s actual instrument.

While based on the TL style, it features an SSH configuration—a mini humbucker paired with two stacked single-coil pickups—delivering a range of sounds that far exceeds the capabilities of traditional TL models. Furthermore, a dedicated volume control for the middle pickup and a push/pull tone control with an ON/OFF function allow for precise mix control, resulting in a practical design specifically tailored for studio work.

It also features the Glaser B-Bender system, allowing for unique pedal-steel-like bending effects. It’s suitable for a wide range of genres, from country to pop, R&B, and session work.

Visually, it features a rugged primer gray finish that faithfully recreates the authentic look of the original model. In terms of playability, it incorporates a vintage-style neck shape to ensure a traditional feel.

This instrument stands apart from the simple TL series, boasting overwhelming functionality and expressiveness.

While there are some minor scratches and slight discoloration on the parts, it is in relatively good condition.
Since some waviness was observed in the neck, we have performed a setup that included neck leveling.
There are currently no issues with its playability.
