Within Fujigen's J-Standard Mighty Jazz series, this model prioritizes powerful low end and versatile sound shaping.
It features the classic combination of an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard, enhanced with the Circle Fretting System. This system delivers well-defined chord tones and stable intonation. Despite its 34-inch scale length and 5-string configuration, it offers solid tension and excellent response.
Seymour Duncan pickups are fitted: a thick, punchy Quarter Pounder single-coil at the neck and a powerful humbucker at the bridge, both featuring push/pull coil-tap functionality via the tone knobs. This setup flexibly covers everything from the defined sound expected of a Jazz Bass to deep, rich low end.
The combination of the resonant wood body and high-output pickups delivers punchy, focused low end even with a light touch. This is a solidly built FGN instrument, perfect for players seeking a modern multi-string bass, and ideal for rock and loud genres.
Some minor scuffs are visible, but there are no significant scratches.
