Made in Japan. Judging from the E serial number, this is likely a FujiGen-made unit manufactured between 1984 and 1987.
The "STR-80" stamp is located on the neck pocket/neck joint area. Since this model number is not listed in the catalog, it is likely an unlisted model.
Features a Floyd Rose licensed Fender "EX-TREM" tremolo system for smooth arm action and stable tuning.
The pickup configuration is HSH. Controls include volume, tone, a 5-way pickup selector, plus
a mini-switch allows switching the humbucker pickups to coil-tap (single-coil sound).
This allows for a wide range of sound shaping.
This is a popular Fender Japan model from the highly sought-after E-serial period, showcasing the quality of Fuji Gen manufacturing from that era.
