The Back Talk Reverse Delay DR-1 is a masterpiece of reverse delay created by Danelectro.
It is a unique effect pedal that takes the unique idea of recording a performance phrase and playing it backwards for output.
Unlike ordinary delays, the most appealing feature of the DR-1 is its unique inverted sound that rises up as if the sound is being sucked in. It produces original expressions that cannot be obtained with ordinary effects, such as smoothly swelling reverberations like a violin and fantastic, psychedelic spatial effects. It has a strong presence not only in ambient and shoegaze applications, but also in situations where you want to add unrealistic nuances to a phrase.
Despite its simple control configuration, the inverse playback nuance and reverberation spread can be intuitively adjusted. Combined with the lo-fi and organic texture that only a dedicated model can have, this model continues to be supported by many players even today.
