USED Kramer / Voyager Headless Bass [11]

Kramer’s unconventional “Voyager” headless bass, which strongly reflects the brand’s avant-garde design philosophy.

This particular instrument features an aluminum neck, and based on its specifications, it is believed to have been manufactured around 1981–82. It retains the direct vibration transmission and crisp attack characteristic of Kramer’s aluminum necks, delivering a unique sound with a tight, punchy character.

With its bold X-shaped body and the unique balance provided by the headless design, this instrument exudes a strong personality in both playability and appearance. Despite its short-to-medium scale length, it features a 24-fret configuration, achieving both excellent playability and a wide dynamic range.

Although there is evidence that the pickups were replaced in the past, they have now been restored to their original configuration. The rest of the electronics have been replaced and are not original.

More than just a practical instrument, this is a true "experimental model of its era," where character takes precedence over functionality. It offers a rich taste of the atmosphere of Kramer’s Aluminum Neck era and is a highly collectible piece.
There is a crack at the body-neck joint.
There are some minor scratches and dents on the edges of the body, but aside from these, there are no other particularly noticeable flaws, and considering its age, it is in good condition.
The neck currently has a slight forward bow. This does not affect playability.

The original CTS pot (1378149 = manufactured in 1981) from before it was replaced is included, but as it is not expected to function, it is not covered by the warranty.

The center latch on the case is broken and missing.
