The Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1957 Les Paul Custom is a guitar truly worthy of the name “Black Beauty.”The dense midrange characteristic of an all-mahogany body combines with the quick attack of the ebony fingerboard to achieve a high-level balance of richness and definition. The two 57 Classic pickups feature an output balance that strongly inherits the nuances of vintage PAFs, delivering a lustrous tone when clean and a solid, resilient core when driven.
The simple control layout and clear projection unique to a two-pickup configuration are major attractions, making it easier to handle and more practical for live performance compared to three-pickup models. It possesses the versatility to handle a wide range of genres, from jazz and blues to rock. Combining a luxurious look with excellent playability, this is truly a “Black Beauty” you can rely on.
There are signs of use, including scratches, dents, tarnished parts, peeling plating, and rust.
Since its arrival, we have performed maintenance, including replacing the frets (JESCAR/FW-55090NS), the nut, and the jack.
The neck is in good condition, and the instrument plays well.
