The Fender Custom Shop 1956 Stratocaster Relic is a vintage-inspired Stratocaster based on 1956 specifications. Its appeal lies in the unique grip and comfortable chord playability provided by the V-shaped maple neck and 7.25-inch radius.The rounded fingerboard radius delivers a distinctly old-school feel, producing a natural fingering sensation and rich resonance during chord playing, while single notes cut through with a mature tone and a focused attack.
The natural aged look of the Relic finish contributes not only to the guitar’s appearance but also to the open, resonant tone produced by the ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer, allowing you to experience the quick response of a well-played instrument right from the start. The pickup selector is a 5-way switch. The rest of the electronics are not original; the pickups, capacitors, and pots have all been replaced. The tone pot was replaced upon arrival due to deterioration.
In addition to the relic finish, there are some scratches and dents from use.
While it retains little of its original condition, the sound and neck condition are flawless, and playability is excellent.
