Based on Gibson’s classic J-45—which traces its roots back to 1942—this Standard model offers enhanced playability and practicality. This 2023 model, as indicated by its serial number, features the consistent, high-quality finish characteristic of current production. The combination of a Sitka spruce top and mahogany body produces a warm, well-rounded sound that responds beautifully not only to strumming but also to fingerstyle playing.The rich low and mid-range projection characteristic of the round-shoulder design is pleasing to the ear, making this a guitar that provides solid support for vocals. The Slim Taper neck ensures excellent playability, making it comfortable to handle even during extended playing sessions. Equipped with an LR Baggs VTC pickup, it’s ready for live performances and recording right out of the box. This versatile J-45 retains its traditional look and sound while offering a practical design that’s easy to use on stage.
There are signs of wear, such as minor scratches and dents.
Since some indentations were observed on the frets, they have been refretted.
The neck is in good condition, and the instrument plays well.
