This instrument is notable for the meticulous craftsmanship characteristic of the Fujigen era and the powerful sound typical of a Precision Bass.

This “Made in Japan” model features an “E” serial number, and the neck date is confirmed as 12-27-86. It is believed to have been manufactured in 1986.

The PB62-55 is a vintage-style model inspired by the Precision Bass of around 1962, featuring a classic configuration that combines a basswood body with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with vinyl-wound pickups, it offers ease of use thanks to simple Volume and Tone controls, along with a thick, focused bass tone that makes it versatile across a wide range of genres.

This Precision Bass exemplifies the high level of craftsmanship characteristic of 1980s Fender Japan instruments and is a model from an era highly regarded as “Japan Vintage.”
The knobs show signs of plating wear and peeling.
There is paint chipping at the neck joint.
The back of the body has scratches, general scuff marks, dents, and rust discoloration, showing signs of wear appropriate for its age.
The neck shows slight backward bow on the 4th string side and forward bow on the 1st string side, with some twisting and waviness. The frets have been leveled, and there are currently no issues with playability.
