This model combines Gibson’s classic specifications—a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard—with a “Faded” finish applied with a thin layer of satin lacquer. The finish, which minimizes the lacquer coating, allows the natural resonance of the wood to shine through, and its charm lies in the fact that it develops a richer patina the more you play it.

The guitar’s most distinctive feature is its three Gibson USA-made humbuckers—front, center, and rear—which allow for a wide range of pickup selections via a rotary switch. This enables a sound-shaping capability that sets it apart from the typical two-pickup Flying V, covering a broad spectrum from powerful high-gain sounds to rich, full-bodied rhythm tones. Due to its short production run and limited availability, this model is highly sought after on the used market as a relatively rare find.
The top plates for each knob are missing.
There are minor areas of paint peeling in several places on the body. There are dents, discoloration, and other marks on both ends of the body.
There are also some minor scratches and dents.
The neck shows no noticeable issues and is in good playing condition.
