Based on the 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue from the Gibson Custom Shop, this guitar has been hand-aged by Murphy Lab. The Lemon Burst finish—known as GLF for its green undertones—is designed to evoke the look of a vintage instrument that has faded over many years, bringing out the three-dimensional grain of the figured maple top.

The heavy-aged finish meticulously recreates weather checking in the paint, dents, and the patina on metal parts, creating a realistic texture that looks as though the guitar has been well-played for many years. Beyond its appearance, the guitar incorporates vintage-inspired construction techniques, such as an ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish and hide glue bonding.

It is equipped with an unpottered Custombucker pickup, characterized by an airy attack, rich harmonics, and moderately rounded highs. With dense mids and excellent responsiveness, it handles a wide range of expressions, from clean to driven tones.

With a finish that emphasizes vintage nuances in both appearance and sound, this is a guitar that delivers a high level of satisfaction in terms of both atmosphere and tone.
Thanks to the Custom Shop’s exceptional attention to detail, the guitar features a relic finish that faithfully replicates the wear and texture of vintage instruments.
All cosmetic scratches and paint wear are intentional features from the manufacturing process, and the fact that each guitar has its own unique character is part of this model’s appeal.
The neck is in good condition, and the guitar is in excellent playing condition.
