This is a rare cost-performance model with parts imported from Japan and assembled by Martin in the U.S. It is a copy of the D35 with a 3-piece back and is built with great attention to detail. The bass register is very thick, and the reverberation after playing a chord sounds very beautiful and extended. This model is rarely seen in the used market. The condition is as follows: the back of the neck is shiny, and a passive type under-saddle pickup is installed. The pickguard has been replaced with a tortoiseshell pattern one, but it is well chamfered and of good quality. In addition, there is a picking scratch near the sound hole, which can be seen when holding it up to the light. There are some other minor scratches and minor bumps and dings, but considering the age of the instrument, it is still in beautiful condition.
