USED MUSIC MAN / Pre-Ernie 1977 Stingray Natural [12]

We’ve just received a 1977 Stingray from the Pre-Ernie era!
Music Man was founded in 1972 by Leo Fender and other Fender associates. Then, in 1976, the Stingray was born, becoming one of the iconic electric basses of all time.

This particular 1977 model is from the very early Pre-Ernie era, featuring a three-point mounting and a through-body bridge. It has a two-band active EQ but retains the natural, full-bodied sound characteristic of this period.
The volume pot, jack, and knobs have been replaced.
Overall, it shows significant signs of use, including scratches, dents, paint chipping, and weather checking. The second-string tuner is bent, and there is a crack in the pickguard.
The fingerboard has been leveled, so there is plenty of fret life remaining, though it has been relacquered as a result.
The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
