USED YAMAHA / Sonare SN-II Black Pearl [12]

The Yamaha Sonare has arrived!

This is the 2H model from the Sonare series, manufactured around 1991.
While its appearance is classic, you can sense Yamaha’s attention to detail in every aspect.

The body is made of mahogany and features original pickups with Alnico magnets.
It produces a thick, resilient, standard rock guitar sound.

The neck is thin and features a joint shape that makes playing the higher frets easy, making it suitable for technical playing.

The tone knob is a push-push type, allowing for coil tapping.
Equipped with a locking bridge and nut, it maintains tuning stability even during intense tremolo arm use.

The black pearl finish and gold hardware give it a bold, striking look. Although this is a model you don’t see very often, it’s a guitar with enough power to hold its own even today!
The volume knob has been replaced.

There is a slight step at the scarf joint on the back of the neck, but it is unlikely to interfere with playing.
Overall, there are scratches, dents, and some tarnish and rust on the hardware.
While it shows signs of use, it has been repaired and adjusted, and playability is good.
