The 400 Series is a modern version of the BROAD BASS, a Yamaha original bass that has been in production since 1977.
It features a uniquely rounded alder body, a pickguard that adds visual interest, and PJ pickups.

It employs a miter bolting system that uses four screws to secure the neck vertically from the back of the body, plus two additional screws that secure the neck end at a 45-degree angle from the back of the body.
This firmly bonds the body and neck, producing a powerful tone that feels as though the body and neck are a single unit.
Compared to a standard bolt-on joint, this design minimizes energy loss from string vibration, delivering rich sustain and an overwhelming body resonance.

The bridge is designed for through-body string routing, allowing for individual string tension adjustment.
While there are some minor scratches and dents throughout, it shows little wear and is in good condition.
It has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
