We've received a 1962 Melody Maker.
The Melody Maker was first released in 1959 as a student model.

The guitar we’ve just received is a 1962 model featuring a double-cutaway body, two pickups, and an optional vibrato unit.

It is equipped with original single-coil pickups. Unlike P-90s or Fender-type pickups, these have a unique character—featuring a dry attack and a solid midrange—while the airy feel when strumming chords and the raw response when lightly distorted possess a conviction unique to a vintage instrument that has stood the test of time for over 60 years.
Overall, it shows signs of wear appropriate for its age—such as scratches, dents, weather checking, and paint peeling—but retains a dignified, vintage-inspired appearance.
The frets and nut have been replaced; the frets have about 6/10 of their original height remaining. The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
