Introduced in 1977, this was BOSS’s first overdrive pedal. Its natural overdrive sound, achieved through proprietary asymmetric clipping, had a major influence on the development of subsequent overdrive pedals.This unit is a Japanese-made model from 1982, featuring the 052-281E circuit board with black screws. It is equipped with an original glossy JRC4558D, allowing you to enjoy the natural overdrive sound and excellent boost performance unique to vintage BOSS pedals. It is an iconic model that is indispensable to the history of overdrive.
It shows signs of use commensurate with its age, and the exterior exhibits scratches, peeling paint, and discoloration; however, it functions perfectly. Considering its age, it remains in good condition.
