USED Ibanez / DT555 Destroyer II, Manufactured in 1984, Black [12]

A 1984 Destroyer II has arrived.
This is the Ibanez Destroyer II, famous for having been played primarily in the 1980s by Phil Collen, an original member of Def Leppard, the legendary British hard rock band that is still active today.
Many of you probably remember seeing Phil Collen playing this model in the music video for their hit song “Photograph” from that era.

Featuring a basswood back and birch top body based on the EX shape, a 22-fret maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, and pearl/abalone split-block inlays that lend it a luxurious feel.

The three original V2 pickups mounted on a cream-colored escutcheon—all with cream bobbins—make a striking impression, giving this model its distinctive look.

It retains many of the early specifications (1983–1984), including a Hard Rocker Pro tremolo bridge, brass Sure Grip Kob control knobs, a graphite nut, and boomerang-shaped strap pins.

There is significant paint peeling at the tip of the horn on the G-string side, and paint peeling is also visible around the neck joint.
Overall, there are numerous scratches and dents scattered across the body, and the hardware has a dull finish.
While it shows some signs of use, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
