A rare model from the Martin Vintage Series has arrived.
The Vintage Series, which was part of Martin’s lineup a while back, was a popular series on par with the Standard Series, featuring a long saddle, open-back tuning pegs, and an ebony fingerboard—all designed to recreate vintage specifications.

The model we’ve just received reproduces the specifications of the early D-18, including a 12th-fret joint body and a slotted headstock.

The mahogany tone emanating from the slightly larger-volume body is exquisite, and the model’s distinctive clarity, with its well-defined and delicate high frequencies, is truly unique.

It offers a distinctly different feel from the standard D-18; you can sense the resonance of the body and the low frequencies vibrating through your body, and you’ll immediately appreciate the benefits of the 12th-fret joint the moment you start playing.

While the specifications may appeal to enthusiasts, this is a rare model, so please do consider it.
The bracing on the back of the body has been repaired, and the tortoiseshell-patterned pickguard has been replaced with a black one.
An additional strap pin has been added to the neck heel, and there are scattered minor scratches and dents throughout the instrument.
While it shows some signs of use, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
