This is a Jim Dunlop JD-F2 Fuzz Face featuring an ANALOG.man Bias Mod. Based on the JD-F2—which recreates the 1960s Dallas-Arbiter Fuzz Face—this unit has been modified by Analogman.

This unit is an early-spec JD-F2—known among enthusiasts as the “Kuchinashi”—and is equipped with an NKT275 germanium transistor. It features the smooth distortion and rich harmonics characteristic of germanium, along with excellent tracking of the guitar’s volume control, enabling a wide range of sounds from clean-like crunch to thick fuzz.
Furthermore, it has undergone a “Bias Mod” by Analogman, which enhances its ability to adapt to the individual variations and environmental changes characteristic of germanium fuzz while delivering a vintage-like response. Combining the NKT275-equipped JD-F2 with Analogman’s modifications, this is a unit sure to catch the attention of fuzz enthusiasts.
The exterior shows signs of wear, such as scratches and scuffs, but the unit functions perfectly. Some of the rubber parts on the footswitch have peeled off due to age, but this does not affect its operation. Additionally, one of the rubber feet on the back panel is missing.
