USED Paul Reed Smith (PRS) / CUSTOM 24 10Top, 1998 Model, Whale Blue [12]

A 1998 CUSTOM 24 has arrived.
The CUSTOM 24 is Paul Reed Smith’s flagship model and is beloved by many players.
The maple top features PRS’s signature straight-grained pin-stripe figure and is made from “10Top” grade flame maple—a designation meaning “the finest of 10 selected pieces.”

The neck shape was available in two variations: the Standard soft V-shape and the Wide Thin, which is thinner with a slightly wider nut width; however, based on how it feels in the hand, this particular guitar appears to be the Standard model.

It features a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets. The abalone inlays on the fingerboard have a high proportion of green, and the quality is on par with the Artist Package upgrade option.

It is equipped with a combination of Vintage Bass and HFS pickups, which defined the PRS sound through the mid-2000s.
It’s characterized by a wide range of sounds, from powerful tones suitable for metal to sweet, low-gain tones.

Furthermore, the 5-way rotary switch—a hallmark of PRS guitars from that era—allows for delicate, clean sounds reminiscent of single-coil pickups.
You can handle a wide range of genres and styles with just this one guitar.

It is equipped with Phase I / Winged Locking Tuners, which were standard until 2001; this innovative system allows the strings to lock into place as they are wound.
There are scattered fine scratches and dents throughout the body, and the hardware shows some tarnish.
Although “Whale Blue” is a color prone to fading, this particular guitar has minimal fading and is in good condition.
Although it shows some signs of use, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and its playability is excellent.
The tremolo arm and bird tag are missing.
The lock on the hard case does not fully engage, but this does not interfere with storage or transport.
