A 1986 George Benson Signature Model has arrived!
First released in 1977 as Ibanez’s first artist signature model for a hollow-body guitar, it has remained a staple in the lineup ever since.

The body features laminated maple sides and back with a laminated spruce top. With a body width of 14 2/1 inches, it is slightly smaller than the current model’s 14 3/4 inches.

It features a 3-piece maple neck with an ebony fingerboard and 22 frets; the “GEORGE BENSON” inlay on the 21st fret is a hallmark of this era.

It is equipped with two GB Special pickups—exclusive to this model—which are floating-type pickups known for their excellent response and bright tone.
Overall, the guitar shows significant signs of use, including scratches, dents, dulled finish, and sun-faded areas; the metal parts also exhibit tarnish, rust, and peeling plating.
The frets have been filed down, leaving about 5 minutes of material remaining; the neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
