A 1957 Les Paul Custom from the "Pre-Historic" era has arrived!
This 1957-spec Les Paul Custom reissue model was manufactured in 1992, just before the Gibson Custom Shop was established.

True to the original specifications, it features an all-mahogany body, is equipped with two '57 Classic pickups, and bears a five-digit stamped serial number, just like the models from the 1950s.

Although it does not yet feature a long tenon (deep joint), it has been gaining popularity in recent years as a model predating the Historic Collection.

The Historic Collection 1957 Les Paul Custom models produced from 1993 onward reproduce the fat necks of the 1950s, which can make them somewhat difficult to play for those with smaller hands; however, this model features a slimmer neck profile, so it is recommended for players who find the Historic Collection necks uncomfortable.
There is paint damage on the body end and the 11th-fret neck grip, likely caused by a guitar stand.
The pickguard is missing, and there are numerous scratches and dents scattered throughout the body, with the hardware showing some tarnish.
Although it shows some signs of use, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
It comes with the original hard case, though the handle has been replaced.
