This is a gem of a guitar, made with carefully selected woods, and all the results of research by Yamaha engineers and traditional Spanish manufacturing techniques have been put into it.
In addition to the beautiful tone, this model has undergone various improvements in order to achieve rich volume and rise.
The front board has been studied for optimum thickness to obtain a bright sound with great volume and rise. The sound bar layout has also been newly designed to ensure a well-balanced sound from the bass to the treble.
In addition, the coating on the lower bridge and back of the neck has been made about half as thin as before to transmit rich vibrational energy throughout the guitar and improve playability.
In addition, the processing accuracy of the lower bridge pillows and grooves has been improved to reduce the loss of vibration transmission, resulting in improved sound rise.

The BODY is an all solid spec, with spruce for the front board and rosewood for the back and side boards. The bridge is made of "Indian Rose".
Using high grade wood and with the careful finishing of a hand-crafted guitar, this model has a luster and depth of sound that meets the demands of experienced classical guitar players.

Main Features
A sound nurtured by tradition and evolution
Yamaha's classical guitar production began with the inheritance of traditional Spanish manufacturing techniques.
The GRAND CONCERT series, while following traditional Spanish manufacturing techniques, incorporates all the results of Yamaha engineers' tireless research and development from 1966 to the present day.
The sound is deep, well-balanced, bright, and transparent. The delicate and rich expressiveness of the sound is the result of designers who control the sound and well-trained craftsmen.
Our goal is to pass on the techniques and spirit of our predecessors, including guitar makers and performers, while continuing to pursue sound with sincerity.

What is shellac coating?
It is a natural paint made from a resinous substance secreted by the lac bug. Because it is applied in thin layers, the sound rises well and the wood resonates well.
Since the paint does not interfere with the breathing of the wood, the sound becomes sweeter and more extended as the instrument is played, and its color deepens over time, creating a unique atmosphere.
The Serac finish is delicate because of its thin coating and sensitivity to heat. For maintenance, please read the instruction manual that comes with the guitar carefully and take care of it.

Pursuit of beautiful tone quality

Simple and elegant design while maintaining tradition
The sound hole and the lower bridge pieces have been designed with a bright image while inheriting our traditional inlaying design. The head shape of the "GC12/22/32/42" is a simple and elegant new design.
