The BTB866SC is a single-cut BTB 6-string model designed to achieve a rich sustain!
The BTB866SC is a 2022 model that inherits the concept of the BTB, but with even easier playability and a new sound.
The BTB866SC has been significantly updated with new frets, fretboard and body material combinations, pickups and EQ, and a finger ramp.
Main features
Long sustain, rich resonance, and high rigidity with through-neck construction.
5-pc neck made of maple and hard walnut for clear sound image and attack.
The rigidity is reinforced by graphite rods installed inside the neck.
The through-neck construction provides long sustain and rich resonance, and the seamless feel of the neck back across the entire fret range is the most distinctive feature of the BTB bass.
The 35" extra-long scale adds sufficient tension and clarity to the low-b range.
Single-cut ash top and laminated wing body made of ocoume wood and ash
The double-winged winged body sandwiches the neck and provides a clear and crisp sound.
The laminated structure is a combination of ash wood and okoume wood, which is rich in mid to low range characteristics.
The cutaway on the 5th string side is not provided in order to achieve the body's resonance and longer sustain.
The body and neck are jointed at the 12th fret in a single-cut body.
The back side of the upper horn has a scoop contour finish to improve accessibility.
Bartolini BH2 pickups
The Bartolini BH2 pickups feature a well-balanced warm response with a tight bottom end and rich midrange.
MR5 (monorail) bridge
The MR5 (monorail) bridge is independent of each string and transmits the string vibration directly to the body.
Active 3-band EQ with 3-pattern mid-band frequency switch
The equalizer produces an active sound with a wide range and low noise, and the mid-range frequency can be switched between 250Hz, 450Hz, and 700Hz by switching the switch. (006P battery powered).
Zero fretting for accurate intonation and minimized difference between open and pressed string sounds.
Finger ramps for stable form and improved playability
A specially shaped, matte-black colored fingerlamp comes standard. (already affixed, not removable).
Stainless steel frets for bright sound quality and high durability
Neutrik jack with lock function to prevent plugs from falling out.
