The BTB866SC is a 2022 model that inherits the concept of the BTB866, but makes it even easier to play and has an all-new sound. It has been significantly updated with new frets, fretboard and body materials, pickups and EQ, and a finger ramp.
Long sustain, rich resonance, and high rigidity with through-neck construction.
The 5-pc neck is made of maple and hard walnut for clarity and attack. The rigidity is reinforced by graphite rods installed inside the neck.
The through-neck construction provides long sustain and rich resonance, and the seamless feel of the neck back across the entire fret range is one of the greatest features of the BTB bass.
35" extra long scale adds sufficient tension and clarity in the low register for LOW-B.
Single-cut body with ash top, ocoume wood & ash wood laminated wings
The double-winged winged body sandwiches the neck and is made of a laminated structure combining ash wood, which has a clear and crisp sound, and okoume wood, which is rich in mid-range and low register characteristics. The 5th string side is a single-cut body with the body and neck jointed at the 12th fret, without a cutaway, in order to achieve the body's resonance and longer sustain.
The back side of the upper horn section has a scoop contour finish to improve accessibility.
Bartolini BH2 pickups
The Bartolini BH2 pickups feature a well-balanced warm response with a tight bottom end and rich midrange.
MR5 (monorail) bridge
Each string is independent of the other, and this bridge transmits the string vibration directly to the body.
Active 3-band EQ with 3-pattern mid-band frequency switch
This equalizer produces an active sound with a wide range and low noise, and the mid-range frequency can be switched between 250Hz, 450Hz, and 700Hz by toggling the switch. (006P battery powered)
Zero fretting for accurate intonation and minimal difference between open/pressed string sounds
Finger ramps for stable form and improved playability
Exclusively shaped, matte black color finger lamps are standard equipment. (already attached, not removable).
Stainless steel frets for bright sound quality and high durability
Neutrik jack with lock function to prevent plugs from falling out
