Compression, clean boost/gain boost, and midrange sound adjustment. All of these can be intuitively controlled with this completely new concept pedal.

There are five knobs: compression, level, gain, color1, and color2. The compression function follows in the footsteps of Limetone Audio's compressor pedal "focus" and delivers studio-quality compression with simple operation. The level and gain knobs are also easily adjustable.

The level and gain knobs are located at the rear of the compression knob, and the level knob provides a clean boost and the gain knob provides a gain boost. The gain boost, in particular, has a tone curve setting that is ideal for pushing the distortion of subsequent pedals/amps to create powerful drive sounds.

Both color1 and color2 are knobs that operate the midrange, with the 12 o'clock position being flat. By boosting or cutting a limited range that cannot be manipulated by amps or normal effectors, it is possible to create and drive sounds that could not be set before.

Also, one of the features of the FOCUS-NX is that when either color1 or color2 is turned to 15 o'clock or higher, a characteristic midrange sound can be produced. color1 has a slightly higher frequency and color2 has a slightly lower frequency, so turning color1 up to near the maximum value produces a modern sound, while turning color2 up produces a more old-fashioned sound. When color1 is turned up to its maximum value, you get a modern sound, and when color2 is turned up, you get a traditional semi-stopped wah-like sound. (We assume that only one of the two can be turned up, but it is possible to turn up both to create a more aggressive sound.)

Each function (compressor, booster, and midtone shifter) can be used or not used by setting the knobs, and each function can be used individually or together.

コンプレッション、クリーンブースト／ゲインブースト、そして中域のサウンドの調整。それら全てを直感的にコントロール可能な全く新しいコンセプトのペダルです。

つまみは、compression、level、gain、color1、color2の5つ。 コンプレッション機能はLimetone Audioのコンプレッサーペダルであるfocusを踏襲し、シンプルな操作でスタジオ機器クオリティのコンプレッションを実現。LEDの点灯するタイミング、光の強さ、消灯するタイミングにより、コンプレッションの状態を直感的に把握することができます。

levelおよびgainのつまみはcompressionの後段に位置し、levelによるクリーンブースト、gainによるゲインブーストが可能。特にゲインブーストについては、後続のペダル／アンプの歪みのプッシュに最適なトーンカーブ設定となっており、迫力のあるドライブサウンドを作り出すことができます。

color1、color2はいずれも中域を操作するつまみとなり、12時方向がフラット。アンプや通常のエフェクターでは操作できない限定された範囲をブースト、カットすることにより、今まで設定できなかったサウンドの作り込み、追い込みが可能です。

また、FOCUS-NXの特徴として、このcolor1、2のいずれかを15時以上にまわすと、中域に特徴のあるサウンドを生み出すことができます。color1がやや高めの周波数、color2がやや低めの周波数となっており、color1を最大値近辺まで上げるとモダンなサウンド、color2を上げると昔ながらの半止めワウのようなサウンドになります。(どちらか片方のみを上げる設定を想定していますが、両方を上げて更に攻撃的なサウンドを作り出すことも可能です。)

各機能(コンプレッサー、ブースター、ミッドトーンシフター)は、つまみの設定により、使う／使わないの選択が可能であり、各機能を個別に使うことも、あわせて使うこともできます。

All items we sell are USED and comes as shown in the pictures so there may be marks of use. All items were tested by our store staff and we test each item one more time before shipping them out to make sure they are fully functional.
