Single cutaway & thin body for easy playability

The body shape and bracing design of the APX is an original design that pursues the sound character of an electric acoustic guitar. The sound design emphasizes the strength of the mid-bass, which enables lead playing with an "acoustic guitar sound" that is not overshadowed by the backing sound. The thin body, cutaway, and extra frets are designed for easy playability, making it a smooth transition from electric guitar to acoustic guitar. This is an electric acoustic guitar that can express a variety of sounds and tones as well as the realistic acoustic guitar sound.

Pickups

In-house made piezo pickups with independent elements for each string.
The SRT system, which has been highly acclaimed by top professionals such as Steve Lukather, is used. The pickup system allows for realistic acoustic guitar sound settings with sound quality as if recorded in a studio. The pickup itself, like the 500II series, is equipped with an anther-saddle type in-house made piezo pickup with an independent element system for each string that catches the string vibration more accurately. By separating the saddle from the pickup element, the string height can be adjusted more easily than before.

Preamplifier

Control Panel
The preamplifier, the heart of an electric acoustic guitar, uses a newly developed in-house preamplifier optimized for each of the three types of pickups. In addition, the power supply has been changed from the conventional 9V dry cell batteries to two easily accessible AA batteries, and the circuit has been reviewed to stabilize the supply voltage, stabilize the supply voltage, and expand the dynamics. Furthermore, the control panel design for all grades has been unified with the same simple and functional taste as that of SRT's top-of-the-line "LJX26CP" model.
A convenient tuner function is also included!

Extra Fretboard

In the APX1000, a portion of the highest note on the fingerboard protrudes into the soundhole. This style was also used on the first generation APX, and allows for technical playing with the extra frets on the treble strings.

Wood inlay soundhole inlay

The soundhole of the APX1000 series is decorated with wood inlays that bring out the grain of the rosewood, replacing the soundhole rings that had been a feature of previous APXs. This design creates a sense of serene luxury while taking advantage of the rich vibration of the surface plate that only a solid specification can produce.

Bracing

Both APX and CPX bodies feature non-scalloped X bracing.

Truss Rod

The position of the neck adjustment by the truss rod has been changed from the head side to the sound hole side. By eliminating the tunnel machining at the lower nut rod adjustment position, the energy of the string vibration received by the nut is more reliably transmitted to the head and neck, and at the same time, the truss rod cover on the head has been eliminated.
